Founder and General Counsel


Ms. Koncick received a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and a JD from Antioch School of Law. She received LLM degree in Securities Regulation from Georgetown University Law Center and an MA from Seton Hall University.

Teresa A. Koncick, Esq.’s Bio

Tess has over 30 years of legal experience in both business and regulatory settings. Most recently, she was General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Aviance Capital Management. Tess served as General Counsel of Merrill Lynch Defined Asset Funds, where she was responsible for all legal and compliance matters for this business division with over $60 billion in client assets. At Merrill, she oversaw the development of new fund strategies and served as Director in the Office of General Counsel. Additionally, she served as liaison with the Investment Company Institute’s UIT Committee.

Ms. Koncick was a Branch Chief in the SEC Division of Enforcement, where she handled many of its notable Wall Street cases involving insider trading and high yield bond markets. She has served as Associate Director at the Ringling Museum of Art.
